Improv Cincinnati teaches class to Santas

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SANTA BEN TAKES AN IMPROV CLASS

BURLINGTON, KY – (August 20, 2022)

Santa Ben, a local Santa who graduated from Hall of Fame Santa Gordon Bailey's Santa and the business of being Santa school earlier this year, recently attended an improv workshop hosted by Improv Cincinnati. The workshop, held on August 8th in Burlington Kentucky and facilitated by Pat Lense "The City Santa", was attended by thirty local Santas from Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, and focused on character training.

Led by Improv Cincinnati's Tone Branson, the six-hour training provided Santa Ben and other local Santas with the skills needed to make character choices, hone their active listening skills, build trust with other performers, and keep themselves in the positive Christmas spirit.

Santa Ben, who had also attended the MAPS Red Suit Conclave in Saginaw Michigan earlier this year, found the improv workshop to be an invaluable opportunity to develop his improvisational skills and build his confidence in character interactions. He learned how to think on his feet, respond to unexpected situations, and engage with children and adults in a positive and authentic way.

"Playing Santa is a huge responsibility, and I want to be the best Santa I can be for the children and families I interact with during the holiday season," said Santa Ben. "The improv workshop provided me with the tools I need to make those interactions more meaningful and memorable."

Thanks to the training provided by Improv Cincinnati and other organizations, local Santas like Santa Ben can continue to bring the magic of the holiday season to communities throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
